Fic Station Posting Guidelines

1. Post your chapter/short story on the appropriate New Chapters & Feedback board on Fic Station. This is where you can receive feedback for your work and where everyone gets their first read of your story.

2. If you want your fic to join our permanent archives, you must post your new chapter on the To Be Archived board. It will be archived as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to do post the chapter to the To Be Archived board. Alternatively, you may elect to maintain your own forum in the archives. If so, please contact Fanfics Admin 01 or Fanfics Admin 02 and let us know. We will grant you moderating status in your forum.

3. Please check periodically to make sure all your fics are archived. Sometimes we miss things and sometimes the message boards aren't the most cooperative.

4. If your fic is completed, please mark it as such so that we can ensure it is properly labelled.

5. To avoid copyright issues and help with archiving, we ask that you include the following information at the top of your fic:

  • Title
  • Rating (Please note that all fics rated "R" or "NC17" must be identified as such in the title thread, and must be placed on the appropriate board.")
  • Disclaimer: All characters that are not your creation must be credited to the source (ie Days of our Lives characters are property of NBC/Corday Productions/Sony). Any copyrighted song lyrics/poems statementused must be properly credited. In addition, please add a line stating that the story is your own creation.
  • Permission to archive (if you give Second Chances permision to archive, it is still your responsibility to post the chapter on the To Be Archived board.)
