Part One

Note: Ok, this is a two parter, another PG-13 (I swear a lot in this one). It takes place in the future, as in Sami and Lucas are officially together. They decided to take a little trip South of the Border. I'm from Wisconsin and I barely get to travel out of my home state much less to grand old Mexico so if I murder the locale, blame it on the movies. Anyway, Sami and Lucas got into a little fight, and our story beginsˇ. (Oh and I don't own Mexico or the Spanish language or any of the characters from Days of Our Livesˇ)

A seedy tavern somewhere in Mexico (picture the move "Desperado").

The bar was sticky. Spanish curses were flung as freely as the beer and whiskey flowed through the sweaty, loud patrons. But as long as the alcohol kept coming, Sami didn't care much. In fact, she was having such a grand time getting completely plastered that she was feeling kinda warm towards the rest of the bar clientele. She found herself thinking of them as family. They were her brothers in heartache, the whole portly lot of them. She could even almost forgive them for being men, the filthy lousy dogs-- almost. Taking another shot of Tequila, Sami thought back over her disastrous love life and the rotten scum responsible for her misery from Franco to Austin to Brandon. But, most of her gall centered on Lucas, the little mama's boy, and how he was planning to ditch her just to run home to Kate. God how she hated men! The whole lot of them! The only good ones were her father and brother and her sweet little son-- and maybe the bartender. His name was Ricardo, and Sami couldn't help but peek at his tight firm leather clad ass every time he turned to serve the other end of the bar. In his red silk button down shirt and his black cowboy hat, Sami had to admit he was just plain yummy. His eyes were as dark as his complexion and the smile he gave her every time he filled her glass made her think of wild nights. But alas, these drunken daydreams were always spoiled by Lucas; somehow the image of Ricardo and Lucas would mix and merge until it became Lucas she was kissing and making slow passionate love to, which of course pissed her off. Righteous anger coursing through her body, Sami looked at Ricardo's backside with disdain. Men they were nothing but big, over-grown children! She was swearing off of them for good! She better let the bastards know. Standing up, drink in hand, Sami addressed the bar.

"Now I know what I'm about to say sounds sexist, but it true; it's the God awful truth. Men are nothing but trouble, they want one thing!" Raising her middle finger and wagging it at the poor fool sitting next to her, Sami continued her speech slurring slightly, "and one thing onlyˇ That's right, that's right, I know what you want." Sami glared intently at the man causing him to gulp both in fear and anticipation. "Well your not going to get it!" In a flourish, she swallowed back the last of her drink and theatrically slammed the glass down. "Ha! Bartender I need another Tequila, yes sir Sister Samantha Brady needs another shot to celebrate her new virginity! Did you hear that, I am a born-again virgin! You may address me as your Prudish-ship! Yes the most pure and chaste, undefiled fortress of frigid Bitchiness! Cheers, Ricardo give the house a round of drinks on me!"

With that Sami plopped down onto her stool while the men around her cheered and hollered. She was so pleased with herself and so caught up in the moment that she was totally unaware of the displeased figure standing behind her, that is until he reached over and pocketed the money she had placed upon the bar.

"Hey! That's Mine!" She shouted as he twirled her around to face him.

"Sorry Sister, it's time to go to bed, even the order of the holy pain in the asses have a two bottle limit." He grabbed her shoulders purposefully and hauled her to her feet.

Dizzy from the sudden movement, Sami had to squint before she finally recognized him. "Lucas get your dirty hands off of me, right now!" she screamed.

"I don't think so, you're coming with me!" Lucas made a move to pull Sami away but found his face smashed against a huge muscular chest. Slowly, Lucas cranked his eyes upward until his neck ached from the strain and he was staring into the grinning face of a Goliath.

"Is this Gringo bothering you, Senorita?" The Behemoth rumbled as he grasped Lucas's T-shirt in his fist.

Smiling evilly, Sami tilted her head towards Lucas. "Are you bothering me?"

"No, I'm not." Lucas gritted out between his clenched teeth as his feet dangled in the air.

"Then let me finish my drink, and get out. Your not welcome here." Sami replied sweetly.

"Fine. You can soak your liver in battery acid for all I care, but I'm not going anywhere." For a long drawn out couple of minutes Sami stared at the ceiling humming to herself, "What to do, what to do," while Lucas fidgeted under her protector's gigantic arms.

"Sami, come on!" He hissed.

Slapping Lucas on the back and stumbling in the process, Sami decided to show mercy. "Oh alright then, I'll just ignore you. It's OK, Jose. He's a pest, but one I've grown accustomed to. I'll be fine. You can let him go." Reluctantly, the giant pushed Lucas aside causing him to fly into another customer. "Ggrr, be nice to Senorita or I'll squash you like a cockroach" Jose grunted in warning as he walked away towards the jukebox.

"You're asking for the impossible, buddy" Lucas grumbled under his breath as he detangled himself from the passed out chump he'd been flung into. Dusting off his jeans, Lucas eyed his prey warily watching her cozy up to the bartender and laugh at his expense. Oh, she was going to pay for this, he thought. He was going to make her beg.

Part Two

Lucas had the Horton brains. He knew when he was in a no win situation and he knew that the only way out of one was to change the rules. Consequently, while his love continued to flirt with the bartender, Lucas spent his time buying drinks for Jose and his friends entertaining them with tales of Hurricane Sami. He blocked out the sound of her laughter with the roars of the men, both in sympathy and humor, as he filled them in on their latest argument. Even these strangers agreed with him when he explained how he had no choice but to fly home tonight. Victor needed him to attend an emergency board meeting to discuss a possible hostile take-over. As much as he wanted to stay with Sami and continue their vacation, he couldn't jeopardize his career. Not just for his sake but for hers and Will's. Like usual, she was an impossible stubborn jackass. Lucas scowled into his Pepsi as Jose patted his back. "Come Amigo, Senorita must not comprende'. You must tell her again."

"I'm telling you she understood just fine. She isn't going to listen to a thing I have to say. She thinks my mother made the whole thing up, just to get me home. She called me a sissy, Jose, a whipped little mama's boy." Lucas sighed heavily and grimaced Sami's way. "She can't see clearly where my mother's concerned and I can't see clearly where she's concerned. If only I didn't love her so much." Lucas allowed his eyes to turn glassy with unshed tears noticing with delight how Jose' shook his head sadly. The first part of his plan was a success. The giant was now clearly on his side. Now all he had to do was get Sami out of here and kiss some sense into her. "But enough of this self pity. It's no way for a man to act. I think it's time I did what I came here to do, take my woman home with me."

Jose' clapped Lucas on the shoulders and looked him straight in the eyes. "Aye Amigo, Vamoose. May the Will of God go with you. " Jose then turned Lucas around, handed him his empty glass, and shoved him in the right direction grinning widely as Lucas almost crashed into Sami's back from the force. Ricardo saw Lucas coming and immediately went to fetch another whiskey for Jose.

Sami for her part didn't even remember Lucas was in the bar, much less behind her; she was that drunk. She had even forgotten why she was mad at him, but she knew she was mad. In fact she vaguely recalled that she had been mad at men in general and she had sworn them off? Looking at her empty glass forlornly and her empty purse even more disheartened, she thought perhaps she had been too hasty. She saw Ricardo approaching with a bottle of whiskey in hand, his chest rippling under his silk shirt, his handsome boyish smile beckoning her. She watched him pour the drink and chose that moment to make a little announcement certain she would get what she wanted. "Umˇ, I just wanted everyone to know that I changed my mind about being a born again virgin. And that I plan on going home with the next man to buy me a drink." At that precise moment Lucas grabbed the drink out of Ricardo's hand and tossed over his money then he deftly landed the glass in front of Sami. "Bingo, it's about time you used your scruples." He proclaimed as he kissed her cheek. Sami frowned. She knew that voice, didn't she? It was sending pleasant shivers down her spine, as was the touch of his hands against her back. In one gulp she washed down the alcohol liking the warmth that radiated through her body. Then she turned to see whose face was behind that honey voice. It was Lucas! Jumping up, she threw her arms and legs around him laughing as he tumbled over in surprise. They landed in a tangled heap on the floor as Sami peppered hot wet kisses on his cheeks, forehead, chin, and mouth. "You came for me!" She happily chirped as she continued to kiss him. Holding her head inches away from him, Lucas stopped her. "Sami not only are you plastered, but you're crazy as well. I'll always come for you." Then he pulled her to him and slowly, deeply claimed her mouth with his. They stayed like that for an indiscriminate moment, lost in the sensations, lost in each other. Suddenly Sami broke free. "Hey wait! I'm mad at you. Don't you have a plane to catch?" She slurred uncertainly as she balled her fist against his chest.

Seeing a possible opening, Ricardo was just about to interrupt the two and claim the girl for his own when a very large, trunk like arm stopped his progress. Jose just shook his head 'No' and the bartender threw up his hands in surrender. For his part Lucas just stood up, ignored Sami's question, and hauled her over his shoulder. At her little squeak of protest, Lucas retorted, "Yes, you're mad at me, but it's nothing you won't get over. And yes I have a plane to catch, but so do you. We are both leaving in the morning but not before I make you scream and beg in bed. Do you have a problem with that?"

Sami wiggled a little in anticipation, "No I was just wondering." Grinning like an idiot, Lucas saluted Jose and carried Sami towards the door, but right before they reached it she stopped him and he lowered her to the ground. Giggling Sami turned around, lowered her pants, and exposed her backside to the bar. "Hey Ricardo, can't touch this!" She called out and slapped her ass. Then she quickly pulled her pants back up and raced out the door with Lucas trailing behind her laughing so hard he was crying.
