Waah! Our little Will is old enough to have a romance! And it seems like just yesterday he looked like this:

So, today a somewhat worldly dark-haired teenage boy, recently come to Salem from somewhere far more romantic in the eyes of a teenage girl, met a cute, tearful blonde who became a mom as a teen. Remind us of anyone we know? I can't wait until Mia meets Will's parents! (6)

Will was very kind, but also somewhat forward/confident in inviting Mia to the Pub. Perfect.

Loved seeing Will so at home behind the bar. I always wanted to see more of that from Sami.

So Will tells Mia that he was gone for a year, then that the twins were born around the time that he left, then that his mother sent him pictures from multiple birthdays. Ah, the problems of SORAS.

There was something adorable about Will's surprise/pleasure that Mia eats hamburgers.

Will told Mia that his family wasn't in Switzerland. Glad to hear that Carrie and Austin don't count as family. (wa) Or that no one but Lumi/Allie/Johnny really count.

Loved Will pointedly NOT chasing Mia. Wonder if he was thinking of all the times he saw his dad chase his mom through her (on the surface) irrational behavior, only to have his mom break his dad's heart by marrying her rapist?

Bo's reaction to Will's reaction was good, too. Bo is such a good uncle.

Yay Wiia! :bf2:

Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007

I liked that Mia seemed genuinely curious about Will's life. Teenage characters so much more rootable when they aren't completely wrapped up in their own issues. Abby and Nick have been the only recent exceptions in this respect.

Excellent Post, Medea! Love all the adorable pics!

I thought the same thing about Will not running after Mia, that he must have learned a thing or two from watching his father over the years. The Will/Bo interaction made me laugh because it was so like Bo to suggest that Will go after Mia, and I really did not expect Will to react to it the way he did. Will had a look on his face like Bo must be crazy himself to think he would go chasing after her. Will definitely seems to have much better self esteem than either of his parents, of course he has much more accepting parents than Lucas and Sami did.

IA, Bo really is a good uncle and a good father. I get so irritated with Chelsea and Stephanie both when they complain about their fathers. I find myself yelling at the TV that they need to have Roman Brady as a father until they learn to appreciate Bo and Steve.

To give credit where it is due, I am really pleased with Dena et al for the way that Will and Mia are being written so far. They are so much more likable and entertaining than any of the twenty-somethings on the show right now, and they may actually be the two most mature, well-adjusted individuals in Salem.

And Abby left without ever having a storyline and Nick got destroyed and sent away so Melanie could scheme with his fuels project.

Here's hoping Days does better this time.

I love this soon to be teen couple already and can't wait to see romance bloom for Will and Mia. I think that Days has struck gold in this new teen pair already and that their going to be a huge success. I think that Days need to run with it and promote these too as much as possible. I love them already and have been hooked ever since day one when they first aired together on the pier and can't wait to see more scenes with Will and Mia in them in the process.
