YOU SUCK!

Yeah, you read that right. This weekend in Greenville James crossed the line and you can have the inside scoop here.

First, let me give you a little background. Second Chances have been event sponsors three out of the last four years and when we weren't event sponsors, we sponsored many of the individual events. Over the years, 2C has contributed over $20,000 to TYA in sponsorships. That doesn't account the money we donate or contribute with purchases. As the event sponsor, our logo appears on the official jerseys that they stars wear.

For those of you who have been to Greenvile, you are aware of the auction that happens at the cast party. James was first up when it came to auctioning his jersey. It was bought by a woman who was sitting directly behind me. He came and sat with her to personalize the autograph. Since he was right behind me, I tried to snap a few pictures. What I saw was him crossing out our name and writing the word sucks right after. He was laughing, as were all the rapemis around. They were busy taking pictures of the autograph in close ups and I am sure you will be seeing it soon. James saw the look on my face and laughed. I expressed my outrage to the rest of the 2C sponsors. The rest of the sponsors expressed their outrage at what James had done to us.

Now, you know his fans are sputtering about now, getting ready to defend him. They can't. It's captured in pictures as is this little gem. Pay close attention to how and at what James is pointing at.

Lovely, isn't it? This is how a grown man treats the people who paid for him to be there. I should make mention that TYA did not sell all their sponsorships this year, so the event sponsorship was important to them. And before some of his defenders go on the rampage, he was confronted with the picture and didn't deny it. In fact he went on his, "It's just a soap," mantra. Never did he say he wasn't shooting the bird.

Later, I won Bryan's chair. When James saw that I had bought it, he ran over to Bryan as soon as Bry got back onstage and whispered in his ear. James told Bry that he had crossed off our names and now I was giving him the look of death. He's right, I was. I could give Sami Brady lessons.

After the event, the incident was reported to the organization. It's not cool for a celeb to do that to any sponsor. Given the animosity between the fanbases, the man was a stupd donkey butt. Given I watched the whole thing and cameras were clicking, he's an in trouble stupid donkey butt.

The organizers promised to talk to him.

The event that followed was the sponsor luncheon. I am not sure if the organizer had spoken to him at this time or not, but I do know that he had admitted to one star that he'd made a mistake. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't bring himself to swallow that ego of his and come over like a man and apologize. He avoided us, refused to look at us. What he didn't know was that the table next to ours on both sides was filled with our group.

Thank you to the Ejole fans who told James we had always been very nice to them. Apparently the rapemis booed the hoo that we are mean to them. Get a life. After sitting with his rapemis and then the ejoles, he skipped our table and headed to Vicky's . What James didn't know was that Vicky had caught the lovely image you see above and I had her camera. When he approached her table, I approached him.

She also captured this image which shows that Norma isn't the only one that they should be afraid of.

I told him point blank that in all my years of sponsorship and attending the events, I have never seen any treat a sponsor or anyone for that matter as disrespectully as he did us. He smirked. I teach. Smirking doesn't go over well with me.

He informed me that he would speak after I had spoken. No fool, I changed the batting order.

Very condoscendingly, he told me that this is just a soap and it's not real. No kidding. Who knew?

I let him talk a bit then I told him that while it's a soap and not real, the people who are fans and are on the other end of messageboards are. I also pointed out that while I hate EJ for raping Sami (another smirk on his face) I knew that he was not EJ and this board had never allowed the bashing of actors.

He said that he never did the internet thing. He stays away to avoid the drama. I pointed out that he just caused it. I told him that he just made a bad situation worse . He blew off fan sites as unimportant. I said that 2C was to me and that we had a good reputation and his actions were holding us up to ridicule. I mentioned that the pictures would be all over the net and in siggies and he had no one to blame but himself. That's when he told me the rapemis said we were mean. I can't roll my eyes any harder, but you can imagine. I told him I resented his actions and mentioned that when he had a message board, his own administration would send us emails thanking us for never bashing James. His attitude changed a bit at the mention of her name.

I should mention that by now Norma had wandered over, as well as security. If James thought security was there to remove me, they were mistaken. I hugged my security bud and continued. Courtni wandered over and I introduced Mr. Scott to our attorney. She is. I told him that when Bryan did the ejami fans eat their young remark, his fans had tried to get Bryan fired (don't lie, ladies, I have the threads to prove it). He said that was just Bryan being Bryan. I guess he didn't get that his doing a donkey butt kind of thing was just him as well.

Courtni told him that what he did was inappropriate and she was disappointed with him. Norma told him to ask Ali what kind of rep we had. He eventually got the point that he had attacked people, not just played up a fanbase war that we were all setting aside (or so I thought--apparently they dedicated a song to us at Karaoke that they thought would wound us. Um, not.) for the weekend. He said he hadn't thought about that and apologized IF he had offended. He gave me a big hug that I could have done without.

End result is the damage is done but the question is to whom. This is going to reflect poorly in him. We weren't the only ones upset with him. The rapemis love to speak for the GA--general audience. James spent all his time with the rapemis. He did not make any effort to reach out to others at the event, other than at autograph sessions because he had no choice. He was pretty funny at the auction, it's a shame he couldn't think before he acted and that he has such poor professional standards. Funny James was entertaining. Bryan had the class to issue an apology in SOD to the rapemis and go out of his way to win them over. It was beneath James to even be sincere. One of his fans tried to be nice and smooth things over but the issue wasn't the rapemis at that point, it was him. I appreciate her efforts but I wasn't buying it.

James repeatedly said that soaps aren't real. Too bad he doesn't understand that the fans that watch, get online and post and those of us that sponsor these things are. His comments to me and others at the event clearly show he has no great love for the fans of his genre. He is there for the money. He also is up the rapemis butt because he has no one else. Eric, Mark, Bryan and Shawn all treated all the fans with respect, never asked which base they were with, made sure everyone had fun and got to spend time with them. They won over fans. Not so Mr. Scott. It's a shame, but he really does himself more harm than good. There was a reason did not bring in big bucks. Even newbie Mark sold his jersey for more.

And in conclusion, it was telling that people had to be encouraged to cheer for him at the dance when they were leaving. He had only stepped on the dance floor once--to watch the host dance. He never danced with a fan, never ventured past the table he plopped himself down at. Mr. Scott told all of us that we suck. Until there is an apology to all of us, this will be followed up. Let's see if he mans up.

And that's the way it was.

Oh, and I'll update you all on the good stuff at Greenville later. It really was a great event once you got away from this drama.

And for anyone who's wondering, the cast party was the first event of the day. James was the only one who made it to Greenville for Karaoke Friday night and arrived only long enough to make a minute long appearance at midnight. Neither Erica nor I was in attendance then, so at the time he chose to diss our site, he hadn't even met us yet.

There was no joking in his demeanor. He was simply being an equus assinus, which from what I've gleaned from talking to other fans who've met him, is his usual way.

Yes it was. I was especially impressed with Mark (Nathan Horton). For someone so young and new to the world of soap appearances, he was simply awesome. He knows how to charm all fans and is just a really, really fun guy.
And Eric, omg, he was incredible too (wait til I post some pics tomorrow ;) )

Eric was intense! For those of you who remember our first meeting of Austin and the impression he made, that's what this was like. Mark is such a sweetie and I hope he sticks around. Shawn was great, and of course, Bryan rocked.

OMG...I heard there was drama but didn't realize how far he would go, why would he ever want to do this. Now I see that his fan base learned from the pro, I guess but I am SOOOOOooooooo glad that Vicky caught this picture because it's proof that something is really wrong when actors flip the bird to a sponsor of an event that paid for the guy to be there. I simply cannot believe why an actor that keeps saying that "its only a soap" would do something like this. James...old chap...it's "only a soap" and the people that watch are not fictional characters. You owe it to everyone, not just YOUR fans to show respect those ALL fan bases when you are at these events, plus you are representing DOOL and weather you like it or not 2C paid for your butt to be there. If you don't like the jersey don't say/do anything it's that simple. I just hope that TIIC/TPTB see this action as a big problem to their soap opera and they re-evaluate the minute 3 years ago they decided to bring him on and shortly thereafter the ratings started tanking and the show is now in a do or die mode. I hope they finally catch a clue.

There’s someone I’ve been missing
I think that they could be
The better half of me
They’re in the wrong place trying to make it right
But I’m tired of justifying
So I say ...
Come home
Cause I’ve been waiting for you

There were some intense moments!! Seeing Erica face to face with james and giving just as good as she was getting--was AMAZING! James was speaking in that quiet calm voice that ej uses right before he cuts out your kidney or something--and it was like OH MY GOSH THIS is really happening before our eyes!! I was so proud of Erica for standing up to him! :not:

That kind of behavior is unbelievably irresponsible, petty, childish and disrespectful. Can you imagine an athlete publicly dissing the sponsors of the sports event s/he is participating in? It just doesn't happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if no event ever asks for him again after hearing that.

Wow. I have to admit, I am astonished. I really never thought that he was a complete donkey's behind, and it wasn't his fault that his fans are, but WOW. Apparently he truly is the king donkey's butt. And people thought Bry was bad ... wow.

Erica, thank you for writing that up and posting it. I'm sorry you guys had to deal with that after all the work you did to make the event happen. It sounds like you all responded to the situation very well.

You are absolutely right that we have all made a point to treat James with respect and to make it clear that our problem is with the character not the actor. I have seen posts at this website and elsewhere from our members crediting James as a good actor and making other positive statements about him, the real life person - because we do fully recognize the difference between fiction and reality. How ignorant and condescending to defend his behavior by claiming the show is fiction - yeah got it.

I've always thought that in spite of a tendency to overact, James must be a talented actor because how else could he make the character of EJ so unlikeable - guess the role wasn't such a stretch for him after all.

No one owes me any thanks. I get the feeling that James thinks of a messageboard of messages, rather than one filled with people.

I've heard of diva-esque behavior at fan events but never such a blatant middle finger to one segment of the audience. Pretty classless and juvenile behavior on James's part. The "fame" has gone to his head and he's not even famous yet.

WOW!
I soooooo wish I was in Greenville this year! Dam recession! But then again....maybe it was good thing I wasn't there. ;) For one, I wouldn't have been able to be calm and probably not as rational as you Erica.
1. If I would have seen him scratch 2C's logo off the shirt. I probably would have said something at him then...along the lines of * Have some respect for the people who sponsor this event for CHILDREN!*
2. When he said *the rapemis said you are mean* I can picture a 5 yr old on a playground! SERIOUSLY? Are we in grade school now?????
3. When he said * it's just a soap* Yes it is just a soap..that's watched by REAL PEOPLE!!!! So...as a rape survivor should I take your comment as just from AN ACTOR! Oh my..there's some other comments I would like to fill in here that would have come out of my mouth...but.......
Ok..now I don't want to bash a person...and this site has been wonderful on that respect.
Such a GREAT bunch of people! But this is seriously appalling!

Those of us who have been going to appearances for the past 5+ years have seen plenty of drama happen. In the past, out of respect for Ali & Bry, we've protected their castmates, and kept the drama off the boards. We chose not to this time, because this was a direct, UNPROVOKED bash against all of us here. Smirking James tried to excuse his behavior with a feeble "My fans tell me..." I can't respect someone who makes up his mind based on only one side of the story. If he'd had the chance to talk to us, and then decided to bash us, fine, that's fair game, but he didn't even know who we were when he did this. It was incredibly unprofessional. I might have forgiven a daytime newbie for it, but he's been around long enough now to know better.

It's also interesting to note that I heard numerous longtime event attendees comment about how disappointed they were with how he behaved throughout the event. I know that I won't be sponsoring any events with him in attendance, in the future.

I am not surprised he is like his character. I got it a long time ago when I bothered to read his interviews. This is not shocking at all disrespectful but not surprised. ;)

I'm sorry to hear that ya'll had a rough start to your weekend. Although I was hoping you guys would have come back with stories of being impressed by JS I must admit that I"m not all that surprised. Now the proverbial question. Did the actor create the unstable fanbase or did the fan base create the unstable actor?
