Sami tells Maggie she just wants to help her "friend." She's not sure how she will do that, but thinks she will figure it out. Maggie just knows Sami will find a way, " Make sure you take care of Sami, too.

Chloe says her despair has nothing to do with Daniel. She just wishes all this didn't have to be at Lucas' expense.

Daniel gets close, "That's because you are a compassionate... loving... wonderful... caring... slut. Trust me. I get it."

EJ keeps on talking. he tells her Nicole admitted having the miscarriage and pretending to be pregnant, then found Mia and came up with Sydney, "This is basically the same thing you did with Grace. You can't judge Nicole."

"You're right," admits Sami, "It's the same decision. But if I had to do it all over again I'd..."

SLAM !

EJ's drink goes flying across the room, "Don't!"

EJ turns his wrath on Sami. She says she can't protect Johnny from him but will protect her other children.

Same charming Elvis.

And WTH is Johnny a lost cause, Sami?
Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007

Johnny's become the sacrificial lamb that is why I still believe deep down when the entire truth comes out about Stefano conceiling Syd as Sami's Ej will likely want DNA testing on all kids....and that is when something might come about with Johnny...and he might not want to disclose the truth if Johnny is deamed to not be his...

EJ rants on and on, (poor Sydney sits in that playpen with this madman raving like a lunatic) finally tell Nicole to get out of his life, out of his house, and to “take THAT with you”, pointing to Sydney.

Seriously? Are viewers supposed to WANT EJ to have Sydney back when/if he turns out to be the biological father?

Sami is right back at him how this house is filled with nothing but hatred and vengence. She goes on that she may not be able to keep Johnny from him

I know I whined about this in the other summary, too, but WHY, Sami?

It's looking more and more every day like we're NOT supposed to want EJ to have Sydney back.

In fact, I wonder if we're not moving towards Sami wanting to keep Nicole in Sydney's life, even after she finds out about the switch. We had that conversation with Maggie where she said it makes no difference to a mother whether it's her biological child or not. We've had repeated mentions from her that Nicole is Sydney's mother, the only mother Sydney knows. We had that scene where Sami was unable to make Sydney stop screaming. Now she's also saying again that Elvis should be kept away from all children if at all possible. (Which, go Sami! Now just don't give up where Johnny's concerned!)

Obviously, she's not going to be happy when she finds out Sydney's the baby she gave birth to, and was taken from her. She's going to be furious with Nicole, and her initial reaction will probably be "I want my baby NOW!" But given a bit of time.... I think we just may be in for a situation where Sami and Nicole try to work out a way they can both be in Sydney's life. Given Sami's childhood history of losing parents.... She'd want to spare her daughter that more than anything else, I think. Remember how long she insisted on Austin being Will's father, no matter what the DNA said? It wasn't just about Austin, it was because Will had a bond with him, loved him, thought of him as his daddy. The same applies to Sydney and Nicole.

^^It would also be the ultimate way to actually be able to redeam Nicole somehow....Sami has grown up and she might decide to do this after all is said and done and the initial shock wears off, maybe have Nicole around supervised somehow. She might realize that Nicole did have a mental breakdown after the miscarriage and was desperate but also that by taking the risks that Nicole took to bring Johnny over to her while Elvis was bent on taking him away from Sami, Nicole at one point did somehow regret what she did even if she didn't come clean at the time and is still bent on keeping Syd's secret because she doesn't want to lose Sydney now...I don't even think it's that much about losing Elvis anymore.

And maybe Nicole will end up helping Sami get Johnny away from EJ as a kind of thank you for Sami helping her with Sydney? That would be swell.

He asks her if there was a problem with the annulment - Lucas changed his mind? Chloe says no, it went through - it's final. Daniel asks her why she's so unhappy. Chloe says it has nothing to do with him. She wants to be his wife - she's never been more sure of anything. She just wishes it didn't have to be at Lucas's expense. Dan says that's because she's a compassionate, sensitive person. Chloe can't help thinking that this whole time Lucas was so dependent on her and now it's over. Dan says even though she knew it wasn't right from the beginning it's sad to end it, bittersweet. He gets it.

EJ scoffs - Don't tell him she has a problem with this. It's basically the same thing she did with Grace. Can't judge Nicole when you did the same thing. Sami - You're right. The same decision I made about Grace. I'll tell you one thing though EJ. If I had to do it all over again I'd do exactly the same thing. EJ screams - Stop! Don't. In spite of all your contrition you never regretted keeping my daughter from me, did you? Sami - Every chance you get you prove me right. Here you are in this house surrounded by violence and hatred. I can't protect Johnny from you but I sure as hell am going to do everything I can to protect my other children from you and this. EJ - Even if means breaking the law? Sami - I'd do anything for my kids and don't you ever think otherwise. EJ asks if that's supposed to impress him. Is it supposed to scare him? Sami is just stating a fact. EJ says you're stating the bloody obvious - most parents would do anything for their children. She's not special. Sami asks him if he falls into that category of 'most parents' - would he do anything for his kids? EJ - What's your point? Sami - That you love your little girl. I can see
it in your eyes. You love her with your heart and your soul which means you will do anything for her and that means keeping her with the only mother she's ever known. EJ, you love her so help Nicole keep her baby.

If Sydney really does turn out to be Sami's, then I think it would be a stretch for Sami to forgive Nicole and let her remain a part of Sydney's life. However, it's just a stretch not a complete departure from character as TPTB have done so many times with Sami in the past few years for pointless and regrettable reasons. The very least they could do to make up for some of that would be to let Sami veer a bit from character for a good purpose like putting aside her anger at Nicole for Sydney's sake.

How's this for a scenario that would keep Nicole in Sydney's life?

(Not one that would ever happen while Days is trying to play all sides... but a flight of fancy.)

Sami and Nicole come to an agreement that EJ should not be around children. Sami becomes closer and closer to Nicole, even letting her and Sydney move into the townhouse-- after all, Sydney and Johnny think of themselves as siblings and it's the least Sami can do. And why turn down extra help with those rapidly growing twins?

Sami and Nicole wind up so in each other's business that Sami, through an innocent accident, learns the truth about Sydney. Of course, she wants to see Nicole punished and she's about to start by throwing Nicole out. But, says Nicole, if you throw me out I might just want to get back in EJ's good graces by telling him that he IS Sydney's biological father. So Sami eventually decides that she's willing to be blackmailed to protect Sydney from going back to EJ, especially since deep down she has sympathy for Nicole. Nicole gets to stay in the townhouse with Sydney, though it's hard for her to hear Sydney calling Sami "mommy."

Meanwhile, Rafe has been fished out of wherever he was and makes his way back to Sami. He's all set to reveal the baby switch, but of course Sami knows already and doesn't want Rafe broadcasting the whole truth. Rafe agrees, and moves back in with Sami... and Nicole. Rafe and Nicole snipe at each other constantly.

And then Lucas comes out of rehab and needs somewhere to go. For various reasons, Sami decides that the townhouse is the best place. Lucas doesn't want to impose or be subjected to Rafe and Nicole, but the lure of being near Will and Allie, and Sami's plea for help in managing Nicole, is too much.

Sami immediately spills all to Lucas and falls back into the habit of living with him and parenting with him. Rafe is irritated. He and Nicole find themselves spending more time with each other, even though Rafe/Sami profess to be in a happy relationship. But there's UST oozing all over...

Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007

You should be the Days head writer!

Also...let Stefano stay in a permanent coma so he doesn't tell Ej the truth and then when he does Ej attempts to kill him for his betrayal but he pulls the trigger first....done
