Part Four After several hours of playing with his son & daughter, Lucas finally went down to the holding cell where Danny was holding Chloe. He knew he had to tell her it was over & get the truth out of her. Danny was waiting for Lucas. “Are you sure you are ready for this?” Danny asked. “I’m ready, Danny. I have so much more at stake now. I have five children to think about. They & Sami are what is important now,” Lucas said. Danny lead Lucas to the holding cell & looked at his watch. “You have about 20 minutes until Vegas Metro comes to get her.” “More than enough time,” Lucas said as he entered the cell. “Lucas! I was wondering if you were coming!” Chloe exclaimed, rising to embrace him. Lucas pulled away before she could get near him, “How could you lie to me?” “Lucas, what do you mean?” “I know about you & Dr. Jonas. Mom told me. How could you lie about that?” Lucas asked. “I was scared. I didn’t know what to do!” Chloe exclaimed. “Well, it doesn’t matter now. We are not getting married.” “But…” “I know about your prayer, but it was not you who saved me. It was Sami, our children, & her friends that saved me!” “How?” “It’s an imposter in Salem. Has been for almost four years now. Sami was in Germany until a few months ago when she came here. She’s been trying to earn the money to get herself & our triplets home.” “This is all Dimera’s doing, I get that. Andre switched Sami with a lookalike,” Chloe said. “And was going to kill her & our unborn children, but one of Andre’s men got her safely out of there,” Lucas said. “What are you going to do about the imposter?” Chloe asked. “We don’t know yet. But it won’t matter to you anyway. You’ll be in jail for a while. I just can’t believe that you didn’t pay the money you owed,” Lucas said. “It’s an old debt from that Mancuso witch’s time as owner. I thought it would’ve been forgotten by now,” Chloe said. “Not a chance. That is how the people here make their money & not even the most miniscule debt is every forgotten,” Lucas said. “I won’t help you pay it, but I’ll tell Daniel that you are down here & maybe he’ll be willing to help you, because I won’t. Maybe I should even tell Victor about it.” “Don’t you dare!” “Why not? We already know that Victor hates you, that he blames you for Brady’s drug addiction. What’s one more thing?” Lucas asked with a smirk. “Lucas…” “No, Chloe, you deserve it after everything you’ve done.” A knock on the door caused Lucas to turn & look. “Looks like my time is up. Goodbye Chloe. Have a nice life. Stay away from me & my family.” Lucas left the room & watched as two Vegas Metro detectives placed her under arrest & lead her out of the Montecito. Danny watched as Lucas left the area & headed back to his family. “Make it last this time, Lucas. Don’t let the Dimeras tear you apart this time,” Danny whispered before he got back to work. -------------- Lucas arrived back at his suite & quickly packed his suitcase & traveled down the hall to Sami’s residential suite. Lucas knocked & Isabella opened the door to him. “Hi daddy! Is it time to go home?” “Not yet, Izzy. First we gotta get you & your siblings & mother packed then we can head for home,” Lucas told her. “And mommy has to finish her work,” Isabella said as her father stepped into the room. “Really? She has one last assignment to finish?” Lucas asked his daughter. “Miss Brady had to submit an amended report now that Miss Lane is in custody,” Genevieve said. “The children are almost packed. Miss Deline & Mrs. Cannon are taking care of that.” “And Sami’s things?” Lucas asked. “Hers are also nearly completed by Mrs. Deline. She arrived just after you left to confront Miss Lane,” Genevieve said. “Daddy! Come play with us!” came the call of Allison from their playroom. Lucas wasn’t about to turn them down. An hour later, Sami walked into the room hearing the giggles of their children. She noticed Lucas’s packed suitcases sitting in the entryway. “Business completed, Sami?” Delinda asked. “Yep. And we can leave at any time. Danny made sure that the Montecito jet was at our disposal to get us home,” Sami said. “I’m going to miss you,” Delinda said with tears in her eyes. “I’m gonna miss you too. But Lucas & I will be down once you & Danny decide on a date,” Sami said. “That’s what I told her,” came the voice of Delinda’s mother, Jillian Deline. “She & Danny need to set the date.” “At least we know that Danny isn’t the problem, it’s you who is dragging her feet,” Sami said. “I wanna lose all my pregnancy pounds, Sami, you know that,” Delinda said. “The doctor told you that you already lost those pounds. I know it is more than that. You want to have your dad to be out of hiding & walking you down the aisle,” Sami said. “You know that may not happen anytime soon. They are doing their best to find him & put him in prison, since they don’t seem to get the reason behind it. They expect that it will draw out Mary & she confesses or that Danny confesses,” Jillian said. “Danny didn’t do it, neither did daddy. At least not for the reasons they believe. The cops are wrong. The truth will come out soon. Those cops are corrupt & Vegas Metro knows that,” Delinda said. “Makes us all yearn for the days when Danny’s friend Luis was on the squad,” Jillian said. ------------- Part Five Hours later, Sami, the triplets, Kate, & Lucas boarded the Montecito jet bound for Salem. Sami could not wait to get home & confront Gretchen for all he had done. It was time for true justice for the Brady family. The triplets settled in for the flight, falling asleep the minute they were belted into their seats. As they had told their mother & father, “We want to be awake to meet our big brother. Daddy wore us out!” Sami settled in next to the man she loves, several new books in hand, a present from Jillian. The women had become like mother & daughter in the preceding months & thus Jillian knew what her surrogate daughter liked. Lucas gazed upon the face of his beloved Sami, the real Sami, finally back in his life after four years apart. If only I had believed Sami over my mother, none of this would’ve happened, he thought. Kate settled into a spot where she could keep an eye on her youngest grandchildren. (She didn’t consider Alice to be hers until they knew the truth.) She could also keep an eye on her son & Sami as they inched toward a renewed relation-ship. This time, she knew better than to stand in their way. She now realized that she was actually hurting way more people than she had realized. And she knew that she couldn’t tear apart what her namesake wanted. Hours later, the Montecito jet touched down in Salem. Lucas assisted Sami & their triplets off the plane. He followed them into the airport terminal for private jets & he found one of Victor’s men waiting for them. “Mr. Horton, Mr. Kiriakis is on the phone for you,” one of the men said. Lucas waved for the man to hand him the phone, which he did. “What do you want, Victor?” “I wanted to congratulate you on a job well done. You found your true family & that now the six of you can get a house together. Come by the mansion & get settled in. Will is already here, as will be little Alice. Tomorrow night, I have something special planned for Sami to reveal herself & for the truth to come out,” Victor explained. “Victor, you didn’t have to do this,” Lucas said. “Phillip & Brady insisted when they found out the truth from both your phone call & from Chloe’s. And plus, another guest of mine also insisted on you staying here for the night & on tomorrow night’s night of truth, as she calls it,” Victor said. “You’ll meet her & her partner when you arrive.” “Oh, alright. We’ll see you soon, Victor,” Lucas said with a sigh. He handed the phone back to the man & the family headed out to the waiting limo. Not long later, they arrived at the mansion to a waiting Brady & Phillip. A moment later, Will ran out & crushed his mother in an embrace. “I knew that girl wasn’t you! I knew you would never do what she did!” “Really, Will? I thought she did a pretty good job being me. But you are right. I never would’ve married a Dimera or betray my family. That is where that little witch went wrong, unless she knew that I would be coming back,” Sami said. Brady smiled at his stepsister. “She was probably getting ready for that. I’m just glad that the two of you left Chloe in Vegas. Maybe some jail time will do her some good.” “I’m sure it will. I’m glad you wised up.” Then she turned to Phillip. “As for you, never ever put business before the heart. I heard what you did to Stephanie!” “That’s what dad would’ve done,” Phillip said. “Victor is not a person to emulate, Phillip, especially when you love a Brady. Why do you think that my grandmother isn’t with him yet. It’s all because she doesn’t like the way that Victor handles business before he handles the heart,” Sami said. From around Sami, her trio peaked around. “Well, who are these wonderful children?” Phillip asked. “Phillip, Brady, Will, meet Isabella Katherine, Allison Caroline, & Thomas John Brady-Horton. Kids, this is your stepuncle Brady Black, your uncle Phillip Kiriakis, & your big brother William Horton,” Sami introduced. “Will!” the triple threat screeched before literally attacking their 16 year old brother. Will laughed as the threesome took him down & then he got them engaged in a small wresting match. Sami & Lucas laughed at their children as they got to know each other. Then they pulled them apart & headed into the mansion to where Victor & another older gentleman were waiting for them. Then an older woman wheeled into the room with a younger woman just behind her. “Sami! Welcome home!” Victor exclaimed, moving to embrace her. “Thank you, Victor. And this must be the reason that we have a night of truth on tomorrow night’s schedule,” Sami said, giving Victor a slight hug. “Yes, indeed. Sami, Lucas, kids, this is my old friend Armand Wells, his wife Megan, & his daughter Martine,” Victor said in introduction. “Why is that name familiar to me?” Sami asked. “Cousin Hope told me about her,” Lucas said. “She’s Megan Hathaway.” “Stefano’s daughter! You were involved with my uncle Bo,” Sami said. “Yes, I was. Bo was my first love, but Armand is my true love. And I don’t like claiming my father. Although it was his phoenix genes that brought me back all those years ago & brought me back to Armand & Martine. But it didn’t bring me back to my son. My father had stolen him by that time,” Megan said. ------------------- Part Six “Stefano stole your son?” Sami asked. “Yes, he did. My Edward James. My one connection I still have to your uncle. Edward is Bo’s son,” Megan said. “You never told Bo nor Edward, did you?” Brady asked. “No, I did not. It was to protect both Bo & Edward. Plus, after father took my son, I couldn’t tell Edward,” Megan said. “Have you found your son? Where did Stefano take him?” Sami asked. “My son is here in Salem. He believes that he is someone else, his own young uncle. But I know where his uncle is & that is safe & sound, renamed & going to a boarding school in Europe as a safeguard,” Megan said. “My stepson will be revealed to all tomorrow night during our little program at Chez Rouge. Maggie very happily set it all up for us,” Armand said. Lucas laughed. “I’m sure my aunt did. She’ll do anything to help me get my happiness & get revenge on the Dimeras.” “Yes, Maggie was very insistent about it. She said revealing the final sin against the Dimeras was well worth holding our party. My father will learn his lesson tomorrow night, as will Gretchen & my son. He will have to embrace his Brady side after tomorrow. I will accept no less,” Megan said. “Megan, Armand, & Martine have taken over the west wing for now. For you & your family, we have prepared the guest house,” Victor said. “Trying to stoke up some nostalgia, Victor? Austin & I stayed in the guest house for a while, remember?” Sami asked. “That guest house is in the process of being redone. This is the one you saw just beyond the west wing. You & Lucas can build new memories with your children,” Victor said. “Oh, & Lucas, I put a rush on blood tests for you & little Alice. We want to know the truth about her paternity by tomorrow night, after all. Right now, she’s still with her mother,” Megan said. “If she does end of being mine, she’ll be with Sami & I. If she is EJ’s, we’ll make sure that he gets her,” Lucas said. “Indeed. Armand & Mickey have already drawn up papers for Alice for both you & EJ. Those papers also make sure that Gretchen loses her parental rights to all her children, which includes her newly, supposedly adopted daughter, Grace,” Victor said. “Which mean Nicole will be mother to possibly four children: Johnny, Alice, Grace, & Sydney,” Brady said. “Now if only Nicole was willing to tell EJ the truth,” he sighed. “Once his truth is out, she may find it easier to tell him,” Megan said. “I can talk to her about it,” Brady said. After another few minutes, everyone retired to their rooms. Sami, Lucas, Will, & the triplets headed for the guest house & got settled in for the night. At the same time, they found out that they were sharing the guest house with two fuzzy little friends. “Mommy, can we keep them?” Isabella asked as the triplets played with the little kittens. “That all depends on Victor,” Sami said. “But you can play with them until bedtime.” “Yay!” the triple threat exclaimed as they continued to play with the kittens. Across the room, Will sat, watching his siblings playing with the little furballs & was happy, happier than he had ever been. His parents were back together, Chloe was out of their lives, & soon their family would have justice after everything the Dimeras had done to them. Time passed until it was time for supper. Victor had promised them a good supper tonight to make up for what would happen tomorrow night. He felt like the food that would be served tomorrow night would be involved in a possible food fight once the truths were revealed. Dinner conversation revolved around what would be happening the next night along with wedding plans for Lucas & Sami. This time no one would stop them, no one. Megan couldn’t wait until she had her final revenge against her father. He had stolen her beloved son & had barely acknowledged her after she had been told that she was actually a Dimera. The minute he had, it was stealing her away from her beloved husband, son, & daughter to help with his undeserved vengeance against the Bradys. Now, she was going to teach him a lesson. Also during dinner, Sami spent her time talking to her newly arrived twin brother. Eric had known from the start that the imposter wasn’t Sami & that was why he didn’t come for the weddings. He was glad that the imposter had gotten justice for his sister, but he knew it was so wrong for Gretchen to continue living a lie. Eric was also happy to meet his nieces & nephew, as well as being able to catch up with Will. He enjoyed the fact that he would also help Brady find another girl. After all, Eric knew what Nicole was all about & even though he still had feelings for her, he also knew that she was very much in love with EJ & should be with him. After dinner, everyone retired to their rooms, Eric joining his twin in the guesthouse. Eric though was going through some slight withdrawal symptoms, since his own fiancé was unable to make it right away. “Eric, I know you want her to be her right now, but she isn’t able to be here yet. Trust me, even I am looking forward to seeing her,” Sami said. “Anything to help aggravate Nicole, right?” Eric asked “Of course. You know that Nicole & Taylor don’t get along. Taylor knows that she will aggravate her sister even more, since the two of you are engaged & we all know that Nicole still has feelings for you,” Lucas said. “Nicole should be happy where she is. EJ is a fine man,” Eric said, without even the least little bit of jealousy creeping into his voice. “Yes, he is. He maybe a Dimera, but he has enough Kiriakis & Brady blood running through his veins to counteract it,” Sami said, knowing from Megan’s description that EJ was her son & Sami & Eric’s cousin.
