The only way I'll care again is if they bring back Lucas, get rid of EJ and triangle Lumi around Safe for a while until they get rid of Safe and Arianna and let Lumi stay happily ever after...and by then their wedding can close the show.

However, if they hadn't ruined Sami and Lucas, I may actually care that they're bringing back Judi Evans to play Adrienne this time around. Sorry Days, at this point, no matter who you bring back or what storylines you write, since you couldn't write the decent storyline of reuniting Lucas and Sami, you don't get me as a viewer again.

Lumi Masters Posts: 3,218 Group: Lumi Advocates Member #946 Joined: July 9, 2008	I enjoy Judi as an actress and Adrienne & Justin back in the day, but none of the other returns have been worthwhile, not even Vivian and Louise Sorrell is possibly my all time favorite daytime actress. I like a few of the remaining characters on the show but the show is just not good enough as a whole to make it worth watching. I have zero expectations that Adrienne's return will be anything more than another attempt to lure viewers into believing there is better things to come. I have no trust left for the current Days regime and I'm no longer willing to hope for anything good on Days ever again.

In order for my wish to be fulfilled, one major thing would have to happen, and that's Gary Tomlin being fired/quitting. If that happened, things might change. Of course I have little hope that he's going anywhere anytime soon. NBC is far more likely to cancel the show before any of TIIC get fired.

I know they have some affiliated cable channels that are doing well. Since they seem so convinced that well made fictional entertainment is just too expensive for the regular channel, I wonder if the Comcast change will result in moving any of the remaining good stuff to the cable channels and using the regular one for the cheap "reality" and talk shows & local news. The problem for Days in that scenario is that it isn't considered inexpensive enough for the regular station and the quality of the show has become so poor, I don't think it would be worth putting on any of the cable ones.

Maybe with Stephanie (keep it all in the family)? Maybe they'll have divorced off screen and will just never spend any time acknowledging they even had a relationship, kind of the way Brady and Chloe forgot they were ever married, and she became Phillip's bed buddy despite her history (not that I am overly smitten with Chloe, but her character was completely ruined).

While I am happy that they are bringing her back, I can only quake at what they will do to them. Too bad they can't afford to bring back Billy Jack, Jen, and Steve & Kayla. And even if they could bring them back, WE could not afford the way they would most likely destroy them. As for the new folks. I really like Mel and Nathan (despite how off the rails they are). And I truly do like Rafe, just not with Sami. Super FBI guy needs to find somebody else or find his way off of the show. So glad EJ is being a real slime, but the *****'s will say he is only hating her because he loves her. Blah-blah.
