(I wrote a lot of the quiz and I couldn't have gotten that many!) Deidre wins an autographed 8X10 pic of Bryan Dattilo plus a few other surprise assorted goodies. Deidre, PM your address to Norma so she can send your loot out! Now, answers to the questions.... 1. Every now and then DAYS likes to remind us that as a teenager, Sami kidnapped her little sister Belle. A. What was her original plan? For Belle to be adopted “legally” through an attorney, Mr. Miller, in Salem. B. What made her change her mind? John and Kristen were at the restaurant where Mr. Miller was supposed to meet “Nancy White” to bust the kidnapper. She also rejected another set of "potential adoptive parents" because they got into an argument and Sami didn't want Belle to grow up with parents who fought all the time. C. What did she decide to do instead? Using Jamie’s credit card, Sami tried to leave Salem on a plane headed for Miami, where she planned to raise Belle by herself. D. How did it end? John and Kristen caught her and returned Belle to Marlena on Christmas Eve as Billie sang "O Holy Night." The next day, John tried to get Sami to confess to her parents but when Sami stalled, John told them himself. 2. What first brought Lucas to the cops' attention during the investigation into the murder of Curtis Brown/Reed? The speeding ticket he got that night 3. When Sami was involved with Franco, she became suspicious that he might be cheating on her, and decided to find out. A. What plan did she come up with? She gets Sophia, a model, to come on to Franco at a night club. B. When she ran across Lucas during her investigation, what did she do to get rid of him? Had his car towed C. How did her investigation end? She follows them to Franco’s and falls off the balcony. D. Who did she drag along as part of her cover? Ivan. 4. When Lucas was married to Nicole and fell off the wagon, what did Nicole teach little Will to call his daddy? Martini breath. 5. This week, Days was preempted for the Olympics. A. What sport did Lucas excel at in high school? Tennis B. What sport did Lucas tell Carrie he liked to watch best when they first went out together? Hockey C. What sport was a very young Sami playing in 1991 when Marlena came back from the dead and spied on her? Soccer D. When Sami was pregnant with Allie, what sport did she say her daughter was not going to play? Football 6. When Sami was pregnant with Allie and Johnny, she craved lots of different foods. Name three of them. Anchovy pizza with ice cream, barbecue and sour cream chips, French toast, grits, marmalade, curry... 7. Two of Sami's childhood toys have played important roles in her (and Lucas') storyline. What were they, and why was each significant? Mr. Fuzzy was her teddy bear-- she talked to him about her feelings for Lucas, and he inspired her to give Will his own Mr. Fuzzy, which was placed in Marlena's coffin and led to the revelation that Marlena wasn't dead. Mollyanna was her doll who had a secret hiding place inside-- Sami hid the photos she was using to blackmail Kate in there. Another acceptable answer is Birthstone Kitty, who was a gift from Grandma Evans broken by Lucas during an argument. 8. Lucas has had three pairs of long-lost siblings turn up in his life. A. When he learned of Austin and Billie's existence-- but hadn't yet learned their identity-- he used his "sadness" over them toward what goal? Getting sympathy from Carrie. B. Mike wasn't in town when Lucas learned he was a Horton. What were Lucas and Mike doing when they first had a conversation? Playing pool. C. Seconds before Cassie learned that she and Lucas were siblings, she almost made a big mistake. What was it? She was in bed with Lucas, asking him to de-virginize her, when Rex and Mimi interrupted. 9. Sami claims that her actions are still driven by her guilt over not telling Lucas he was Will's father. A. When and how did Sami find out Lucas was Will's father? Looking at Will’s baby book and realized after comparing Austin and her blood types with Will’s blood type there was no way Austin could be the father. That left only Lucas. B. When and how did Lucas find out he was Will's father? At Sami and Austin’s almost wedding. Mike, Eric and Carrie stop the wedding and tell Austin he’s not Will’s father. Lucas picks up the discarded hospital paperwork and confronts Sami. C. Did Lumi ever discuss the possibility of Lucas being the father before that? Soon after Sami first came back to Salem pregnant and interrupted Carrie and Austin's wedding, Lucas asked "are you sure it's Austin's?" Sami said she was, and the subject was dropped for two years. 10. There's nothing like a first kiss... A. Where did Lucas and Sami kiss for the first time? Titan Photo Lab B. Why was Sami wearing Carrie's shirt at the time? Some guys had spilled beer on her and Lucas rescued her and took her to Titan to get the clothes cleaned. She put on Carrie’s clothes while hers were being cleaned. C. What had Lucas just done for Sami that made her want to kiss him? Got Alan's confession on tape. D. Who saw the aftermath of that kiss, and what conclusion did that person draw? Austin saw them and thought Carrie had slept with Lucas. E. What did Sami threaten to do if Lucas told anyone what really happened? Bring charges for statutory rape. 11. Speaking of kisses... A. Who had just been murdered when Lucas kissed Sami for the first time as an adult? Maggie B. What did Lucas get on Sami's face the next time he kissed her? Shaving cream C. What did Lucas say right before he kissed Sami the time after that? Damn it! D. Lumi had an audience of two the next time they kissed after that. Who were they, and how did they react? Will and Kate. Will says "Whoa!" and his delighted. Kate is horrified and wants to arrest Sami for assault. 12. Mood music! A. Lucas, Austin, Carrie, and Sami celebrated together when they realized Kate hadn't died in a plane crash after all. What song played in the background as Lucas and Carrie danced? "Only Wanna Be With You" by Hootie and the Blowfish B. Lucas got drunk after Sami's throat was cut by the glass door in the DiMera Mansion. Who sang in the Blue Note as he did? Chloe was singing when he got there and Kelly Moneymaker (Peter Reckell’s real life wife) sang as he drank. C. What song played when Lucas and Sami taught Will to dance? If You Are Not The One by Daniel Beddingfield and You Are Home To Me by Josh Kelly D. What song did Lucas sing when he proposed to Sami? When a Man Loves a Woman E. What song played on bagpipes at Lucas and Sami's wedding? Amazing Grace 13. When Elvis Banks was an infant, his adoptive father Edmund Crumb commented that Franco and Lucas were engaged in a "classic love battle" over Sami. What prompted Edmund to say that? Lucas tries to cut in on Franco and Sami dancing and Sami won’t dance with him. Lucas insults Sami and Franco decks him. This is the "I'm good enough to sleep with but I'm not good enough to dance with?" scene. 14. Will was the subject of six separate custody battles. A. In 1996, how did Lucas help Sami win against Austin and Carrie? Lucas helped Sami practice and got background information on the judge's previous rulings B. It does look like it took a lot of time to make though, thanks to all the makers who put in the effort!
