I am posting this in the event any Lumis are still watching the show and are Bo or Bope fans and wish to support Peter Reckell. I have never been a Bope fan but I loved their story when it played...it does feel like what we were discussing in the other PR thread is true...something is very fishy here. Apparently he wont' be working February or March, which means they won't see Bo on screen for a while and if you read his letter you can sort of read between the lines. The only other vets I can see staying is Caroline, Maggie, Roman....but as for Sami? I am not sure actually the real Sami left years ago and if Ali thinks her character can be destroyed further she'll stay if not I can see her taking a break/maybe going on recurring and having TBL as her only gig with her side gig...her book will be coming out around that time no? so she might need the time for promo tours and stuff for that.....

If I cared half as much as I did 6 months ago, I would be seeing red right now ... but now I am just jaded and disgusted but accepting of reality. Ya know? Dang. It won't be that Peter was any more special or loved than MBE, SN, MA, the DHs, or Bry, but it will just be the last straw for those left that were still hanging on by a thread. If they have any audience left, it will be the Passions and GL transplants only, and we know what happened to those two shows ... so yeah, I think there is little doubt left (if there were any to being with) that this regime is deliberately trying to kill the show. On another note, I hope to hear something about Bry soon ... I think I'm starting to get the shakes from withdrawl.

It just saddens me that they are going to destroy a few more characters before it goes off the air. I really don't think that this show is going to make it 2012. They'll get lucky if they make it through 2010.
	Thank you Days for bringing back Bryan Dattilo as Lucas Horton! His fans are ecstatic about his return!

I'm actually surprised that some people are so blinded by their hatred of Bryan/Lucas/Lumi that they think the same thing isn't happening to Peter/Bo/Bope. Poor Peter, and poor Bo fans. They got better than most longtime actors and fans, but it still sucks that Days is clearing out all its legacy characters.

Makes me wonder how many people have actually written that to tptb and perhaps gave them the idea .. or at least confirmed to them that they could get away with it. Seems like more and more posters are newer viewers of 4 years or less .. so maybe they really can get away with it. I don't know ... Still makes me kinda sad.

Lumi Masters Posts: 2,631 Group: All Access Lumi Member #946 Joined: July 9, 2008	I'm convinced that soon after Sami returned from WPP (Ali returned from maternity leave), TIIC went from unintentionally destroying Sami through neglect to active destruction for the purpose of reducing her fan base and then started the same process with first Hope last summer (after Ciara's kidnapping) and then Bo a few months after that. They've made a lot of progress in eliminating Sami's fanbase and seem to be having even quicker success with Bo. I've seen a number of comments that with Bo's recent behavior it will be good to have him rested for a time (I don't get it because Bo has certainly done nothing as bad as EJ but then I guess Bo's fans have much higher expectations). My attitude is that Bo is just the character. TIIC deserve the blame for writing him this way and worse, it seems that TIIC are banking on fans turning against him so that TIIC will have fewer repurcussions from firing PR.

ALWAYS LOVING BRYAN!!!! AND SO MISSING HIM!!!!

I've recently been watching Days clips from the 80s circa 1983/1984 on YouTube and find that more enjoyable than anything they could create today, even the bad storylines back then which there were few, were way better than anything today. And watching that makes me sad to know what they're doing to to Peter Reckell now and what they've done to Bryan Dattillo and practically anyone that has a historical connection to the show.
