You know, I get that the show is written by writers (or executive producers) and that the characters just say what's in the script, and remember only what the writers (or again, executive producers) let them remember, but what the hell is Ali's excuse?

Keeping the LUMI love alive Posts: 11,879 Group: Assistant Managers Member #1,233 Joined: February 6, 2009 Lucas & Sami are destined!	^^lol Cj....I'm telling you..if I was an actress that had been playing the same character for 17 years and the character has been so badly written of late particularly (but since about mid 2007) I WOULD say something, even if I wasn't writing the show (It's my character, the one I created) and they are destroying it and in the process I'm likely losing fans. Look at DOOL ratings and see how many viewers are being lost weekly...it's telling AND IT'S SWEEPS! I can't fathom that Sami would get to a point that she would be totally unwatchable....it seems that to pair her with Elvis they have to dumb her down, take her backbone away, make her a weak being and not even give her a bit of a brain. The rapemis were protesting when Elvis was dumbed down to be with Nicole but they see this version of Sami totally acceptable....yeah right! Who's fans are they anyway? Sorry...I answered my own question.... Is this Sami the same character that stood up to Stefano, Kate, Nicole and Andre in the past? Remember when Sami would be able to tell that something was wrong? Remember when she knew that Kate had drugged/framed her but needed the proof...she knew something was up...Remember when she knew that Nicole was up to something way back when? or Lexie? It is so evident that something has happened with her and it's not only about the making her into a savior or heroine, it's that they have made her so dumb that the heroine roll doesn't fit her now because it'll be too tough to pull off.....Heroine's usually have something going for them, a strong will and character and they stand up to people on occasion (even Marlena did it with Stefano)....this person has nothing rootable about her and making her into Ej's puppet is simply awful....boy I'm glad I'm not watching this garbage.

I hope the ratings for the show continue to drop in the month of May untill the vets return for Alice's memorial in June and and when they do I hope they rise again and then after after the memorial and six days of Lucas I hope they drop once more. Are TPTB deliberately trying to get this show canceled unpurpose and if so thats really sad and makes me really angry at the same time. Its sad that Sami had to have everything taken away from her to the point she has no brains anymore and she lost her spine entirely to the point where she doesn't care about her kids and is being played for a fool constantly everyday by a criminal and has completely lost her fire and spunk entirely that she once had and what made her riveting to begin with. I miss Sami the Sami of old and I no longer recognize her any longer which is really sad that Sami is truly a former shelle of whom she once was. Thanks for posting this for we truly appreciate it I have no intention of watching Days ever again untill Lucas airs towards the end of June other then that I won't be watching the show ever again untill Days makes some major changes and fast. Ali can pass the buck on what Sami says and does to the writers et al, but she is the only one responsible for comments like this. Everyone associated with this failure of a storyline seems desperate to spin it in ways that defy all logic. Maybe they think Days has finally succeeded in running off everyone who watched the show more than a year and they can fool the brand new viewers... or maybe they just think all viewers are stupid. The insulting drivel coming out of Days certainly seems to indicate an extremely low opinion of their customers, maybe Ali is buying into the company mindset. One look at the ratings for the past few months should tell them that viewers are smart enough NOT to watch rapemance.

She's far from dumb but I have to wonder where her line in the sand is drawn. If letting Sami being involved with her rapist, the man that has tortured her familly, tried to kill the man she loved, etc, isn't enough to make her say to someone at Days, Hey, Sami is being ruined, I don't know what is that one step too far. Now she's pimping what you know she never would normally advocate. Me, I'd be out the door.

I have always thought that Ali was one that cared about the show and the fans more than many. One of the main reasons I became a Lumi fan was because of how Ali and Bryan both reached out to fans and appeared to care so much about the show and the relationship with fans. I guess Ali is kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. But still ... I don't know. I take back what I said before, I don't believe that she doesn't care about the show or the fans, but I don't think she cares much about the storylines. I think she is willing to just go with the flow and never wants to rock the boat. I don't think she would ever be in danger of losing her job, since she is so popular, and the hostess of TBL, and all over the place ... I don't know, I just don't get it at all.

Days is going to have to play out this story to see that they were snookered into believing the faux 5000 lie, wrote their show to it and it crashed and burned because people don't want to watch rapemi. Problem for Ali is, she's run out of fans. The Lumis don't recognize Sami, the Safes are getting ticked, so if rapemi doesn't work out, what happens to Sami? She's so damaged and the writers are incapable of reinventing her, well Ali's got to be worried.

Her character has been destroyed, and by the looks of it (I just read some of her incoming tweets) she is losing fans ... not just Lumis ... Safes ... general fans that always loved Sami ... people don't like what they are seeing ... except for the few that want to see JS shirtless ... shakes head I hope tptb are feeling as foolish as they look right about now. And I am not too big of a person to say "I told you so".
