I'm wondering who she is too, which is probably why the next chapter hasn't been written yet Seriously, I did know who she was going to be when I added her, but I seem to have forgotten in the chaos of the past few years. I have to search for my outline.

Barring a miracle, don't expect to see updates on any of my fics until after I move and am settled in. I'm hoping that will happen in the next couple of months, but considering my builder is already 6 months behind, I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, that thought has occurred to me, and I'm glad the move won't coincide with his airdates. I talked to the rep from my builder this afternoon. The first words out of her mouth when I called were "We're hoping to have the letters in the mail next week. I'll call you as soon as I have yours ready." They have to technically give me 35 days written notice of my possession date, so that throws it firmly into July, which makes me happy. I can't wait to get into the new place. I'm hoping that my muse will find it easier to find me there. It's closer to the airport, so that should help him, right?

Lol....will you have some sort of a terrace or balcony that you can use to sit in and write....you know the wonderful summer late afternoons staring into the Canadian sunset, sipping cold iced tea from your terrace should help the muse! Waiting for new construction must be a pain, but at least you won't have to worry about doing much to the apartment before you move in. Enjoy your new home Norma, wishing you nothing but the best.

Frisco/Devlin/Dasha (the future cat) will have an enclosure on it as well so he/she can be outside, but safe. My building is across the street from a new park too and at some point the landscaping for the complex will have a gazebo. There are 2 more buildings to go up, so I'm not sure how long it will take for that to happen. If I have enough overlap between leaving my current place and getting into the new one, I'd like to paint. I like colour, lots of colour.

Color is beautiful but it can also be a pain when you try to match or retouch, whatever you do, I don't recommend the paint with textures (like sand). I painted two walls in my living room with the Ralph Lauren texture paint a few years back before I got my dog. Then we went out last year to see the fireworks on Independence Day and when I came back she had eaten her way through the drywall and there was a large hole. My hubby had to respackle but when we went to see if he could only touch up the area affected he couldn't, the difference was too great and he ended up applying about 3 coats of new paint to cover up the new drywall and it wasn't even 5 inches square. Faux finishes are nice too, but they have the same issue...

I may do some stencilling on my office walls - it'll depend if I'm in the mood to do it or not. I have a 14' ceiling in the living room, so I'd love to get some colour (in the blue family) on those tall walls. Since it's an open concept space with the kitchen nearby, the kitchen will be blue too. My main bathroom will be teal (because I already bought the towels, lol) and my bedroom and ensuite will be in shades of blue as well. My office/spare bedroom is the one that I haven't decided on. It may end up being red or dark purple or whatever strikes my fancy when I'm looking at paint colours. The laundry room is the only one that may end up staying eggshell.
