In December, Bryan was let go from the show and he indicated that he didn't plan to ever come back. "I felt really close to Frances during the time I was there. I would always give her a really big, wet kiss on the cheek when she was in the makeup chair. I even did a striptease for her once. I loved her. When they asked me back for the funeral, I thought it was just fitting. I couldn't say no." Dattilo says his return to the show has been surreal. "I saw a lot of the people I used to watch and work with on the show. I used to watch when Lisa Trusel was on; she came up and introduced herself to me. She was so sweet and I was like, 'I had the biggest crush on you when I was 13.' Bill and Susan were there. And Suzanne? Come on. How hot is that lady? Christie Clark had a bun in the oven and looked great. It was great to see her. But it feels like a different show. We were in the makeup room and you look around and it's a hybrid of Days and Passions. I was singing, 'Breathe in, breathe out' alot. It's not the Days I grew up on, but if it's working, that's all that matters." As for whether or not he would ever consider returning to Days again, Dattilo reveals: "I love the show and I love my character. It would hard to just come in for birthdays and holidays because I feel like I have more to offer than that, but if I ever got a legit crack at it again, I would totally embrace it." In the meantime, he's working construction. "I am building sound studios," reveals Dattilo. "It's weird because I'm going into places that I used to be employed at, like Sony. Oh and Bry..it's not working...we ALL know it...but that's all good when Days ends up in last place I guess they'll figure it out. Oh, I love it how SOD has a totally misleading cover....of ALL those vets returning they have him on the cover and an article...AWESOME....maybe it's because even a mention of the guy being back for 6 epis will get viewers watching again and might actually sell more mags than a certain non couple featured on the cover? Yep.

He gave a very gracious answer that leaves the door open for the possibility but as he has said all along only if they give Lucas decent writing. And, I don't take the comment about Passions as a crack on the actors but rather the producer (who also came from Passions) and the way he has changed Days into a show that none of us can recognize anymore.

I love how some will spin anything...notice how he said he was in the make-up room...maybe during the time he was getting ready there were 3 vets who had returned for the Alice epis and 3 former Passions actors.....and he commented on how weird that looked....it's his personal opinion which he's entitled to and frankly I'm glad he's honest....someone needs to be.

Gary Tomlin was bound and determined to preserve that nightmare of a show, and he's succeeded, right down to the crappy ratings.

Someone at another board commented that even Eric (Brady) has made a reference to , "Days of our Passions" at a fan event...so what's the big deal? it's because BD said it right? lol.

Not that that is a great thought, actuallly, but my point (lol) is that I am always so proud of Bry. He is a class act, speaks the truth, doesn't LIE in interviews and kiss butt, and commands respect because he has earned it. Love that he gave FR a striptease and "if its working ..." ? ... umm, yeah, let's all refer to the ratings now, shall we? Yeah, notsomuch. But I don't really blame that entirely on the Passions crew ... I love EM, LH is pretty good, and she was lovely to meet in person (but her character SUCKS) ... no comment on the Rafester, but GG seems like fun Seriously though .. its a combination of bad choices happening on the show, not the smallest of which being the rapemance redeux ... and that isn't a personally biased opinion .. look at any board and read the comments from those who have stopped watching, 90% or more will be because of the rapist and his victim. No, it isn't just a biased opinion and I'm not even talking about the GA fans who post online, but the quiet vote from nearly 900,000 viewers who left the show since the rapemi stuff started. That's a lot bigger number than the total of all Days online posters combined. Also, it is a fact, not opinion, that ratings falter everytime the show airs scenes with EJ/Sami that even hint at possible "feelings"/flirting. While we all agree that no one couple or storyline makes or breaks the ratings, there is a definite, consistent and long time pattern of rapemi scenes equating to lower ratings and at this point, there is no denying that rapemi is the common denominator in that trend.

Even after all of these years that fanbase hasn't improved on their abilibty to spin. They need to learn to spin things that aren't in print. just reinforces their desperation to make people look bad.
