Clips are up. I finally decided to just put them all in one file, so you get Sami/Carrie, plus all of the Jennifer/Mike stuff.
The Caustin-hating, "Marrie"-liking fan in me finds it hysterical that while Carrie rode off into the sunset with Austin, he's nowhere to be found this week and she shares scenes with Mike. Thank you Days for proving that you screw over all fanbases equally :)

I knew it was coming and it still made me cry. While Alice hasn't been on in ages, it's officially over.

Thank you for clipping Norma.

Oh and to Mike, never the brightest bulb in the chandelier--you can leave against medical advice. Just go. Why wait for Lexie who screws everyone over?

I HATE that all the other parts of the show were "current" - just reminded me of how DAYS used to be ... wasn't "stressful" to watch.
Carrie/Sami thing put tears to my eyes as did the MAGGIE/JENN scene at the end and then I promptly threw my socks at the tv when CHLOME ended the show... (yes I did say SOCKS, they were what I had in my hand at the time).ARG!

Ending shot should have been on Maggie and Jenn

The ended the show on CHLOE under these circumstances? Ick.
Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007

Yeah because a cheating, knocked up fiance is more important than honoring the people who have been on this show for decades and for giving Alice her due. They should pair Chloe and the rapist and then I could watch the rest and just ff through their stuff.

I seriously think they should have CUT THE CRAP for a week and just went back to THE WAY IT WAS for a week - like they did with that Christmas special a few years back... used the ACTORS almost as a tribute as opposed to this - this mix of OLD and (dare I say) NEW!

I tweeted NBC and told them that they should have made the entire week about the tribute and only the tribute. The current storylines interspersed just remind me of why I'm in no hurry to resume regular viewing. At this point, I'm counting the days until the memorial ends and I can remove Days from my DVR.

Norma, thank you so much for posting. I'm crying like a baby. The scenes were all so good. You know though, the one part I could have tuned out was Sami explaining about Sydney and so forth. I found myself not giving a crap.

Oh I so want all these vets to return. I want Bill to return. Oh Mike and Carrie, what a nice surprise, And Jennifer was the best. I miss them all. It felt like home.

I don't know how any of the other fans did having to watch all the other crap in between. Give me just the Alice tribute. It's the only stuff worth watching.

Couldn't have said it better myself....

I mean do we seriously need to have the Chloe scenes when there's something more important going on?

Thanks Norma!

If Days had left all that silly filler of the current stories, they would have had time for the vets to interact more and to put in more flashbacks (which must be cheaper than paying for new scenes) of the good old days and allowed for more stories (maybe even a few humorous ones) and even some updates on what they've all been doing, etc. It would have added even more interest and impact to the good stuff and maybe fooled viewers into thinking that Days is still good (at least for a few more weeks).

This tribute has been a let down. I have been watching this week wondering why 75 percent of the show is new storylines and interaction with few vets than just have a majority of the vets getting airtime. I think def ratings will go up but they could have gone up so much more if the writers would stop focusing so much on the newbies.

Well Austin Peck was doing an off-Broadway play when the scenes were shot, so I doubt he could make it back.

I could never get into Mike and Carrie. I remember Carrie being about 5 when Andrea Barber came on the show and Mike was Michael T. Weiss and he was like 28. So when they talked about Mike and Carrie playing as children, I was like ewww, Mike the pedophile. Yuck!

I know why AP couldn't make it. My point was that they went to the trouble of giving Mike & Carrie some scenes. They could have easily just ignored that relationship altogether. ;)

With not doing more of the tribute it's like the TIIC are thinking, well, they'll come back for the tribute stuff, but we'll only give them a little and then show them what's going on and maybe they'll watch. Yet, they can't get it through their thick skulls that the current stuff is just crap, and we could really care less, which is why they'll most likely see a little spike in the ratings and then a dropoff again.

I agree, the current stuff is crap. If TPTB were smart, they would have utilized all of the remaining vets they currently have on staff more and left the newbies out completely. That may have actually fooled us into thinking Days was worth watching again (at least for another week or so until we caught on).
