Most of us probably agree that the ongoing storylines not related to Alice's death have been awful and have not encouraged us to tune in after the funeral. I'm making one tiny exception... Mia's last scene. Days did the right thing by having her say goodbye to Will/Sami/Sydney last rather than having her last scenes be with Chad or whomever. Mia was a flash in the pan character who was relevant for exactly two reasons-- her baby was switched with Sami's (as far as we know) and she was Will's first love. The door was closed (literally and figuratively) on both of those things. In a meta way, it was hilarious that Mia kept saying "You won't miss me" and no one corrected her. No, the viewers won't miss her... she had potential, but it was gone when she was morphed into a schemer to fit the storyline. And the Will recast didn't help her either. But the awkwardness of Will not being able to bring himself to make the polite lie and claim he'd miss her, or properly accept her compliments about him saving her, was perfect. Chandler was very good... tears in his eyes and pretending they weren't there and all. And Sami Gene made an appearance! Sami Gene remembered that Will is her kid! Sami Gene talked about being a baby with a baby and how Will somehow grew up to be fantastic! Sami Gene sent Mia on her way with a good word, but absolutely did not press Will to do the same! Sami Gene was ridiculously gentle with Will's feelings, as she has always been when romantic issues arise with him, going all the way back to Home to Me. (If you knew how to dance, you'd want to go?) Our first Lumibaby's first romance is over! And just yesterday he looked like this: ![]() OK, maybe this: ![]() And maybe his next romance will end better than this: ![]() ![]() |
| Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007 | |

Great Post! Love the pictures! Will's hair has faded to lighter and lighter tones during his life.

It is kind of interesting how Will has changed over the years but his character has been lucky enough to age somewhat gracefully at least. I think the reason behind his hair color differences over the years has been interesting too. When he was a baby they wanted to show that he could have been either Austin or Lucas' but now that his paternity has been established and his dad is off-screen most of the time they are making an effort to make him look more like Sami with the lighter hair. |

Great post! Regarding Will's coloring, I find it amusing that thanks to Sami, Will & Allie fit right in as Bill Horton's grandkids. |

Aww our Will has sure grown up hasn't he? Baby Will was SO adorable! And I LOVED Chris's Will, what a sweet, loving kid! Not that familiar with the newer, older Wills but will always have a special place in my heart for this kid because he is Lumi's first baby after all. The girl who played Mia was so pretty too! Ahh first love, glad Will got his chance to experience it in a normal way at least as opposed to his parents, lol!
