It was Tom and Alice's song. Their kids and grandkids even sang it to them once.

Yes, I know. It's been used throughout the show's history, moreso in earlier years. (until writers were brought in whose sole purpose seems to be erasing history, that is) What I was asking is if it was used during the memorial... Thx!

I don't think so. I love that song and I don't remember hearing it either.

No, I don't recall hearing it this past week. I was half-expecting to.

At some point Hope (I think) used the word "always" with an emphasis that made me expect it to start playing, but it didn't.
Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007

Didn't think so. Geez, I though for sure we'd get at least a flashback.

It truly definately would have been a really nice touch if they had the song Always playing in the background to honor Tom and Alice it truly would have made the tribute even that more special when they were showing the flashbacks. The funneral and Tribute brought tears to my and made me cry for almost and staight hour and it was hard for me to stop but the show did a great job with the flashbacks Lucas placing Tom's picture on Alice's the speeches were wonderful and I love how they dedicated these in memory of Frances Reid.

I too agree they should have had the song Always playing in the background when they were showing the Alice flashbacks as well or they should have had Doug or Bill sing it at the service that too would of would have been a nice touch as well to honor the matriarch of DOOL's.

Agreed. That song is part of the legacy, just like her donuts.
