This portion of his personality was so firmly established that when he stopped being an absurdly gangly pre-teen and became a full-on teen, the transition was the most graceful Days has ever had, and rather than seem like an aging, it just came off as a regular recast.

So while his mother's current love interest was born two years after him, and yet is now in his 30s, Will plugs along as the only kid in Salem who never took growth hormones.

I think Kate and Lucas will come in one behind the other...and Sami will come in close to Lucas...

I still don't get the Will write up. Ever since about 2003 Will DID want his parents together....and sure he blamed his mom for the most part for the problems in his parent's relationship but to say that he was like his grandmother wanting to keep his parents apart is inaccurate. I think you can comment on the write up no?

Correct me if I'm wrong but after looking at this list it seems this is not an NBC or Days poll but rather someone's opinion of who the 100 greatest characters are right? I'm not familiar with every single character on there but I think I agree with most of the placements so far.

Will 2 just wanted to make trouble any way he could! If that involved pitting his parents against each other, so be it. But he also wasn't actively trying to keep them apart, or fed up with Sami and wanting Lucas to do better.

that why i said perhaps i did not consider he against lumi but it only time will did someing i remeber doing something cause them to fight

Absolutely. Chris Gerse played Will as a defined character for the longest time, and throughout those years he desperately wanted Lumi together... doing everything from snakes in the sleeping bag to cheese in the heating system to emotional blackmail to practically collapsing in happiness when they were first engaged. During a couple of the breakups, he WAS furious with Sami, but it never went to the point of him siding with Kate.

His speech to Chloe about how his parents "just are" remains one of my favorite Will moments. And I think he DID, throughout the Grace hijinks, come to the conclusion that Lucas deserved better than Sami's drama. But it seems more than a little awkward to raise that phase of Will's history over the much longer Gerse phase. And he still didn't scheme to keep Lumi apart.

All true, unfortunately. But once again... Kate-like opposition to Lumi? Lumi hasn't been an option for Chandler's Will, who came on as Lucas was leaving for China and who has only ever had a few scenes with Lucas.

There was a point where Will #2 (Darian) said something about Mom and Dad getting married, meaning Sami to Brandon and Lucas to Denise. Lucas and Sami thought that he meant they might marry each other, and said that they had discussed it previously. So it may be that even during the Bad Will year, he expressed a preference for Lumi offscreen. We only saw him 10 times.
