I wasn't expecting a huge jump. Most of the viewing audience is unspoiled and most of them find rapemi repulsive. It's not surprising that they didn't tune in for the wedding.

that and the last two weeks of August is a bad time to peak a story....that is why I am banking on them having a strong September with the fallout of the shooting and Will and Sami's interchange and all that....

All wedding every day. Interestingly, at least to me, Monday is usually a solid Days rating day. Last week it was down with Sami's acceptance of the proposal. This week, you have the wedding beginning. Tuesday-Thursday are the reveals. Friday you have the usual low ratings, but it's also EJ's pity party.

The highest rated day of the week was Sami dumping the rapists rear end.

I love that Sami dumping the irrelevant one which was on Thursday got the highest bump of the week but ouch ouch ouch to the rest of the week in general and it looks like more viewers were lost too. I had a hunch the Rafe/Sami/YKW stuff would not do so well in the ratings by having this sham featured all week and it looks like my hunch on this was right.

They need to ditch this triangle angle and try something new Sami and Rafe can not carry the show and neither does this triangle. Maybe TPTB need to swallow their pride here and bring back Bryan and Lucas for good this time and bring back the Lumi love story once more along with the Lumi romance for good this time and continue to feature the Bo and Hope story as well and bring back some more vets and vet couples to try to improve the ratings. Its just a suggestion but I think its a good one. Give the vets and vet couples a story.

If TPTB want to feature Sami more and more and have her featured in love story with someone their going to need their top man Lucas to do it with once more for this story this triangle with Rafe/Sami/the irrelevant one seems to be the most hated story and most hated triangle on the show right now time to switch gears here and completely change this story.

I watched some of that, and I had to FORCE myself to do it because I am spoiled and did know what was coming. Watching Sami marry her rapist was gross and painful and not enjoyable even spoiled. No wonder the ratings sucked.

I think Toups is off by a week - the week of Aug. 30th will be the biggest week of Days so far this year. I'm not surprised that the culmination of the Sydnapping/Rapemi storyline was a bust. The story should have never been told. The vast majority of viewers didn't like it so why would they be all jazzed about the finale of it. I think what people are excited about is the start of a new storyline - the one that begins with the real Sami Gene Brady shooting the rapist in the head.
