Malin, I hope you weathered the storm. I've always been a little scared of being stuck in the snow and being cold. It's just one of those weird anxieties I have. Not sure where it came from since we go to the mountains all the time and go snowmobiling, but maybe since I know what it takes to survive in the cold I understand the danger you can be in. Hope all is well with you my friend. |

Thanks! i wish it would but the storm will be even worse.. they have now sent out a class three warning  they call this storm for Berit..

Thanks! yes Im andi'll stay inside the whole time and i just hope it wont be a power outage,even it they have said it might be that too.. I know ho you fel Tammy,Im pretty scared too when things like this happens esp when there's a power outage and i hate sitting in the dark even if i have the candles lit i have to get out in this storm today because i remember i have to buy some batteries so i can have the radio on just in case the storm takes the power.. so i have to get out before the storm gets even worse...class three warnings are real bad and scary

Well, when it's the "dry season", it's really hot most of the time. Rainy season is only in winter. It wouldn't be so bad, but this type of dirt/sand makes really slippery mud. It's terrible to drive or walk in. |

I haven't posted in this thread before now ... but I thought I would now and if the talk is cats ... we have 4 wild cats that we feed twice a day ... 4 black kittens and the Mama cat ... Daddy cat .... and a cat we call Tiger from a previous litter .... |

My family seems to adopt the neighborhood cats. We had a beautiful tabby named Simon weighing 15 lbs (big strong cat) that belonged to the neighbor two doors up but he died two years ago. He was one great cat catching mice. Our property backs up to open space. Now we have another beautiful tabby that belongs to the neighbor two doors down and across the street. He has decided he prefers our house over theirs. His name is Simba. I'll have to take a picture of him and post him. He's a lover. |

I just saw a feral cat on base today. We have to stay away from them (and all animals). But they're always around, just hanging out hoping for some scraps. |

That was supposed to be 7 wild cats ... we had one we took in and tried to domesticate it but to no avail .... he was never happy ... we finally let him go ,,,,, there is also a herd of wild bore's digging holes in the pasture next door ,,, we don't fed those guys .... |

Well talk about wild, we have flocks of 20-30 wild turkeys roam around town picking at people yards and stopping traffic. And to think I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Yes we do have wildlife in the suburbs of the city. |
