As someone who has been to the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge a couple of times, I routinely get their newsletter via email. Today I opened it up and read the following:
Obviously the bolded part is what made me LOL, not because it's especially funny, but because when I read it the first thought that jumped into my mind was "Why would I need a DNA test. I know who my parents are (were, actually)." Anyhow, I thought it was amusing. And for those who are wondering, genetic profiling is the latest thing offered by fitness spas in an attempt to create a fitness program that is geared specifically towards an individual. On a Days side note, maybe it's a service that Quinn should start offering at the spa. He could make a killing in Salem and maybe, just maybe, some of the maternity/paternity issues would start getting settled. |

You know who your parents are... but aren't you concerned about the long-lost children you forgot about giving birth to? Interesting. I had no idea that fitness spas did genetic profiling. |
| Do you remember what she told him? She took her lover’s hand, and she said, “just because something is intangible doesn't mean that it's not real.” Lucas, no matter what happens, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what I say, you will always be in my heart. -- Sami Brady, November 2007 | |

Nah, I figure they'll find me on their own. Or maybe someday I'll get a locked box or maybe just a key in the mail and off I'll go in search of them. |

Know how the site generates various ads depending on what sites we may have visited, etc. Well right now in this thread, I'm seeing one at the bottom of the screen that says "Paternity Questions? Answers Available at Your Local Drug Store" with a website address for DNAtesting.com. For the record, I have NOT been doing searches for DNA testing lately ... it's just because of the thread topic. DNA testing for a fitness profile would certainly be an updated twist on the whole change in parentage soap staple (rather than the usual accident or organ transplant) ... maybe the writers will consider that. |

lmao, so what does it mean that I'm getting a Canadian ad for Tweed & Hickory that specifically mentions Quality Loose Leaf Tea. Does that mean I should be going to Celeste for a tea reading for paternity/maternity testing instead of getting a DNA test run? |

LOL, I don't know about that Norma. I just thought it was funny because usually I get ads for sites I've visited or items that I've been shopping for and I haven't been shopping for DNA testing. |
