can anyone confirm this .... and since they have brought up the Kate issue ..... could one of Kate's son's be Ian's son ,,,, I know we discussed EJ being Ian's son ,,,,, and we decided since Kate had sex with EJ it wasn't him ,,,,, but what about Austin ..... |

Not sure how true this is but if Ian is looking for his son and if Kate is the mother then I also wouldn't be surprised if it's Lucas. |

Yes, he said it....I'm starting to think that the writing is on the wall for Lucas to be Ian's son, however it can also be a BIG RED HERRING at this point too. As it looks now, Ian categorizes Kate as the 'love of his life' and they pretty much (according to Kate) had a mutual relationship, it was nothing like what he has with Madison, who he appears to have blackmailed to marry him or something similar. Austin is also a possibility, as is Philip I think....but with Lucas and Austin being on canvas and Philip not being around, unless we hear that JKJ is coming back or they are recasting Philip, then my bet is it's probably Lucas or Austin, although, there is also the possibility that it is EJ, just that Kate isn't his mother. |

That would be interesting if Curtis wasn't Austin and Billie's father after all and I would take Austin and Billie being Ian's if they were giving Ian and Kate a tie together and will leave Lucas be as Bill's son so maybe Kate lied to Billie and Austin too about who their real father is as well and Ian could be their father after all. |

and Victor and Ian are already at odds.....virtually immediately. The only reason I wouldn't want Lucas to become Ian's son (and really I don't mind him being his father at all) is that it would set up a perfect triangle down the road if they bring Bill back. JM had such great spark and chemistry with LK that I would love it if Lucas and Ian were at odds about him and Kate dating, and Lucas as part of a scheme would bring Bill back to ruin his mom's relationship. HOw many times has Kate screwed up Lucas' love life, specifically with the love of his life? I would think that payback is in order and Lucas can do a little back handed maneuvering to make it happen. Aside from that it makes sense if they have Lucas be Ian's son, especially if it gives Bryan some good material to sink his teeth into and especially if the Dimeras are being phased out, I can see the McAllister's taking a prominent role in Salem. I'm still very confused about the timing of everything. Madison makes it sound like Kate & Ian were having an affair during Madison's marriage to Ian. Madison is Sami's friend from grade school. Sami is younger than Lucas. Was it an ongoing affair that Kate had on the side for a couple of decades? Did she have a fling with Ian rather than the previously retconned Bill and then meet up with Ian again years later? (maybe on the fishing boat?) Or is this another space/time continuum paradoxes that we're just supposed to shrug our shoulders about and accept - kind of like how for years we had Belle simultaneously accusing Sami of switching her blood test results and kidnapping her to sell on the black market all the while Sami was ripping the head off Belle's barbie dolls too? |

what about this?? Bille and Austin is Ians kids and Curtis knew that thats why he became abusive(spell) to Kate and to Billie and Austin because he hated that they weren't his kids but Ians kids?? |

I'm also trying to figure out where Ian fits in Kate's history. If Lucas is his son then this love affair would have had to have started before Lucas, Sami, or Madison were born, lol. But now with Billie coming back and her & Austin having some type of story together, maybe it is one of them or both. Also when I think of Belle I also think of how Brady somehow is now considered Sami's "older" step-brother ever since EM took over the role. |

Since Philip was born onscreen and Kate didn't actually give birth to him (Vivian did), I don't see it being Philip. As for the timing, Kate said that she hasn't seen Ian in 30 years and since Madison is supposed to be in her 30s then even in Salem logic, a physical affair would be impossible. Perhaps Madison is referring to Ian's ongoing affair of the heart toward Kate. Assuming that the writers aren't changing Kate's history again, then the most likely timing of her affair with Ian would have been when Lucas was a kid. There are 17 years of her life unaccounted for from the time she left Salem pregnant with Bill's son Lucas to when she returned. It would also fit with the "30 years ago" statement from Kate since Lucas is in his mid-30s. So far there has been no mention of Ian looking for his son but that's certainly common for newcomers in Salem. |

Anyone thinks it might be Chad? Kate and Chad's mom were both hookers and for some reason Kate has always been super protective of Chad, maybe if they are really trying to phase out the Dimeras then Chad will turn out to be Ian's, not sure he'll be Kate's son or not....but it sort of fits better time wise than Lucas does. |

Chad works. Might actually give Chad a purpose to be on the show, since the DiMeras are fading fast. And if it's Chad, it was after the Bill affair. That fits with some other info I've heard (but can't divulge )

I never thought about Chad and maybe Chad assumed that Stefano was his father but got the wrong father again and Ian was with Chad's mother and Chad is really his after all. The DA guy was a step father not Chad's real father so that would fit also that Chad is his son and Chad mom is dead but his birth father is very much alive I could see it and if they are phasing out the Dimeras Chad as you said can become an McCallister and not be a Dimera any longer so maybe it is Chad after all and if so then Casey and Ian will have a very important storyline together with Chad and Ian being father and son so that works too for Chad's mother didn't want Chad to find out who his real father was at first and wound up lying to him so maybe Chad is Ian's after all. |

I think they will start to showcase Lucas being the son but that will be the red herring and it'll turn out to be someone else. These writers like surprising us, they aren't as predictable as Dena/Tomlin were and with the way they are keeping the spoilers to themselves then my bet is that it'll turn out to be Chad. |

Add on to the fact Stefano and Ian are going to be rivals in the near future and that would add on to that storyline as well and give it more layers if Chad turned out to be Ian's son after all. |

Could be and if thats the case the son could be a daughter after all and if so then Kate and Ian had something go on around the time she was with Curtis and Billie may not have been Curtis after all anything is possibly at this point but If they do give Ian a son or daughter Billie,Chad,Austin,Philip would be fine but I'm just hoping they leave Lucas a Horton and keep the Horton's and Brady's in tact for we need more Horton men on canvas since Tom and Alice started it all and we need to keep their legacy Alive and well and need more Horton's on canvas thats why I'm hoping they leave Lucas as Bill's son and let one of the other one's I mentioned above be Ian's son or daughter. What if Gabi is Ian's daughter do we really know much about the Hernandez's either or maybe Rafe is Ian's son as well it could be anyone at this point but I'm hoping Lucas gets to stay a Horton to keep the Horton legacy alive and well in Lucas and in Lucas kids with Sami. |

I will not complain if this turns out to be Lucas. It would give Bryan an awesome storyline and I'm really liking KIAN so far. I like that they seem to be written as the "love of each other's lives". Yeah it's rewritten history and some of it may not make sense but I have a feeling that this might turn out to be a great story. Also look at it this way, Bo was a product of a love story between Victor and Caroline. But he is still a Brady and that hasn't changed. So even if Lucas turns out to biologically be Ian's, he would still always be considered a Horton. Anyway, whatever happens I'm looking forward to it. |
